Please Don't Scroll is a Chrome extension and a web dashboard that blocks distracting sites during focus sessions. This page covers what we store, why, and what we never do. It applies to the extension, the dashboard and this website.
What we store
- Your email address, to sign you in. Passwords are handled by our authentication provider, Supabase. We never see them.
- Your blocklists and profile names, so the extension and the dashboard stay in sync.
- Your sessions and schedule: the mode and end time of the current session, your weekly schedule blocks and your time zone, so a scheduled session starts on time.
- Your plan, and if you subscribe, a customer reference from Stripe. Card details go straight to Stripe and never reach us.
What we don't do
The extension checks each site you open against your own list, on your computer. Your browsing history is not sent anywhere. We only know the sites you chose to add. We don't sell your data, share it with advertisers or use it for advertising.
Where it lives
Account data is stored with Supabase (PostgreSQL with row-level security), so only your signed-in account can read or change your rows. The website runs on Vercel, and Vercel Web Analytics counts page views without cookies. Fonts are served from our own domain. Payments go through Stripe, under Stripe's own policy.
Storage on your device
We don't use tracking cookies. The dashboard keeps your sign-in in your browser's local storage, and the extension keeps it, along with a copy of your blocklist, in Chrome's extension storage so blocking keeps working when you're offline.
Your rights
You can edit or delete anything in your lists from the dashboard. To delete your account and everything linked to it, use Delete account in Settings. It removes your account, profiles, lists and schedule at once and cancels any subscription. It can't be undone. You can also email hello@pleasedontscroll.com and we'll do it for you.
Children
Please Don't Scroll is not directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll update the date at the top.
